About
Counselling and psychotherapy take place online or in person.
I offer asynchronous messaging, live chat, phone and video interactions as well as face to face sessions.
I am a Accredited member and Children and Young People registered member of the National Counselling Society, and trained at post graduate level.
The therapeutic space is a safe, non-judgemental place to explore yourself, your needs, your wants and where those come from and how they affect your life.
People seek therapy for many reasons, these can include changes in relationships, jobs, bereavement, anxiety or depression or just a desire to get to know yourself better.
I offer talking sessions, creative sessions and play therapy sessions, often we will combine elements to suit you.
Depending on your needs sessions can be one to one, or with one or more family member.
Individual sessions:- Children, Young People and Adults.
Co-parenting sessions.
Family work.
Military, Emergency Services and Civilian Trauma work
These areas of work and experience can result in the holding of unresolved trauma leading to difficulties such as anger, PTSD, hypervigilance and unexplained feelings.
Talking therapy can help you to understand and resolve these feeling and to integrate difficult experiences into your life in ways that keep them from being intrusive.
Play Therapy
Play Therapy gives children the opportunity to explore these issues can significantly increase the stability of their adult mental health.
Through a developed sense of self, the child is freer to consider different strategies for relationships and interactions between themselves and others.
Children who react inappropriately in certain situations can develop better ways of reacting to thoughts and feelings. This often happens in the child's pre-verbal reasoning stage.
