About
Hi, I'm Elle,
Why choose me?
I am passionate about what I do and like to make a difference in young people's lives through working towards positive mental health. I pride myself on being a warmth and non judgemental clincian and work on building strong therapeutic relations through authenticity and celebrating individuality and diversity.
Fun facts about me: I am a cat owner, animal lover, sunset seeker and lover of all things creative and quirky.
My background:
I am a CAMHS trained clincian, with a decade of working in children and adolescent mental health services, with extensive experience in offering mental health assessments and eclectic therapies. I have specific training in Systemic Family Practice, EMDR and Incredible Years.
What I offer:
I work as part of a private mental health service- Mental-health4u. I am dedicated to bringing the best possible mental health care to young people, wherever they may live. I care deeply about young people’s mental health, and strive to help each and every child live a happy and resilient life.
Mental-Health4u was founded in order to support young people in getting the help they need, without having to sit on waiting lists for months, or even years.
My mission is to provide exceptional service to our clients, through individualised care and bespoke treatment plans, which they can access from the comfort of their own homes.
I work with young people with:
Anxiety
Panic attacks
OCD
Self harm
Difficulties regulating emotions
Depression
Trauma
ADHD
Autism
I work online and offer 1:1 sessions with young people, sessions with young people and their parent(s), family approaches and parent led sessions.
1:1 sessions:
We can work together on goals that are important to you and I can offer strategies and understand around mental health to improve and manage symptoms.
Family approach:
I offer sessions to families to work with you to improve communication, identify and work on family strengths, and support effective problem solving. This is a non blaming approach and allows everyone's voices to be heard. We know that mental health difficulties not only affect the person who is experiencing the symptoms, therefore a family approach can help to discuss this more widely and find new patterns that work for your family.
Parent Led sessions for children with anxiety:
I work with parents to train you up as co-therapists and give you the knowledge and strategies to support your child both now and in the future. We use principles from CBT to support your journey.
Post diagnostic ADHD sessions:
I work either with parent(s) and young people (if they wish to) to help your family learn more about ADHD, medication and other treatment options, emotional regulation techniques and executive function.
