I have been a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist since qualifying as a Transactional Analyst in 2002. My private practice is based in Whitstable, Kent where I offer both one to one and group psychotherapy. I have gathered extensive experience over the years ranging from working as a GP counsellor for 5 years at the beginning of my career, progressing to working for the NHS at the more complex end of mental health as a Highly Specialist Psychotherapist, which I did for 12 years. I have worked with people who present with many different emotional and psychological difficulties, such as problematic relationships, sadness and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma and addiction concerns.
Emotional and psychological difficulties can become debilitating to the point they can impair the quality of our every day life. Psychotherapy provides a space in which experiences and difficult feelings can be sensitively thought about, and where you can feel heard and understood. This experience ideally leads to greater self-awareness, to better understanding of your personal relationships, and to an understanding of the psychological patterns which underlie your presenting symptoms. If you would like to talk through your concerns in a private confidential setting you can arrange an initial consultation with me through UK Therapy Guide
