You might find that you feel isolated, alone and are missing out on connections with loved ones. These difficult feelings can cloud the parts of your life which should bring you joy; this unhappiness can lead to further disconnect with those around us.
I am a warm, enthusiastic and non-judgmental counsellor with a wealth of experience in helping LGBTQ+ individuals improve their relationships, increase their self-worth and gain some clarity on their past.
I want to hear your story and how it has brought you to this point, then we can make sense of all that challenges you and work towards a brighter, happier future. The “person-centred” approach to counselling which I use is the perfect method to achieve this.
I work in person from my office in Prestwich, Manchester and can also conduct sessions online, which gives me more flexibility.
I offer a free, 15-minute phone call to check if we are a good match and we both have the time in our schedule.
I am fully qualified in Therapeutic Counselling and a registered member of the BACP. I adhere to their ethical framework.
I have worked with a range of people and a broad range of issues, and many have found counselling with me has helped them to reach their therapy goals such as reducing anxiety, improving mood and making positive improvements in their relationships.
I have a wealth of experience in working with the LGBTQ community through my volunteer work with the LGBT Foundation and am passionate about making counselling appropriate and accessible to people of all genders, sexual orientations and identities.
I have completed further training in a range of areas, and keep my knowledge up-to-date with regular training, reading, podcasts, clinical supervision and peer supervision. Outside of work I enjoy running, music and I keep myself well and grounded (which I believe is important for therapists) with regular self-care including yoga and meditation.
