As an Integrative practitioner, I don’t believe in one single approach being adequate for all. Instead, I draw on different modalities including psychodynamic and humanistic, to have a greater flexibility in meeting my clients' needs.
My approach is not prescriptive; I see myself as a fellow traveller in your therapeutic journey, helping you to explore, identify, name and better understand what is going on for you. I work intuitively and creatively drawing on implicit ways of communications which can help in accessing parts that can be too difficult and too painful to name it and acknowledge cognitively.
I believe in human uniqueness and individuality and the potential to heal and grow if the right conditions are in place. I aim to facilitate a genuine, authentic and collaborative relationship founded upon trust, openness and honesty.
I offer short and long-term therapy to adults who may experience a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties. This may include a current crisis, pattern of unhelpful, repeating behaviour or issue from the past.
I have several years of experience of working in NHS, supporting clients suffering from mental health. I have also worked in charitable organisations supporting women (Women Centre) and children (Place2Be).
