I am a qualified Integrative Transactional Analysis Therapist and Couples Counsellor. My ethos being everyone is equal & has the opportunity to change. I am an Accredited Member with UKCP and a Registered Member with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists, I uphold their Ethical Framework for Counselling Professionals and will always work to the highest professional standard. I have Private Indemnity insurance and hold a current Disclosure Barring Certificate.

I offer a warm & caring service in a safe, confidential, non judgemental and professional space for you to talk, be heard, your personal experience validated & for positive change to occur. I am passionate about people and committed in my work, helping people come through difficulties & challenges that life often brings. Through talking we can explore patterns of behaviours which may be a barrier for living life in a more fulfilling way. I know how difficult it can be entering therapy, engaging in my own personal therapy was part of my training & something that I have continued to do, I believe that having more understanding of myself is crucial to the therapeutic relationship. Acknowledging that you need to talk to someone else other than friends or family is the first step, which can be very challenging. I understand it takes courage to share your vulnerable parts with someone you don't know but I believe that it can be very powerful and life changing. I strongly believe that once you are in touch with yourself you can gain a better understanding of your needs & to get to know yourself better, to learn self acceptance, love & how to be kinder to yourself in order to live a more fulfilling life.

In my Couples work, the first part is to explore the differences between you, so you can really understand each other, which involves talking to each other and to listen to what the other has to say without judging it or trying to change their mind. We will be trying to help you accept that having different approaches doesn't have to lead to conflict but can be part of your strengths.  We can explore ways to deal with conflict so you can manage your disagreements better. As the relationship becomes more supportive and less stressful, and you feel less helpless and hopeless, we would expect you both to feel happier and more positive
