Hi, my name is Simrit, and thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. I work with clients experiencing low self-esteem and confidence, anxiety, grief and loss, narcissistic abuse, identity issues, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, past and current trauma, and work issues. I offer an environment of hope, empathy, empowerment, and reflection. I believe I am warm, empathetic, patient, and able to "see" my clients with respect and unconditional positive regard, with a non-judgemental and compassionate approach in all my work. I believe the client always comes first; putting myself in their experiences, being there for the client during this journey, and every step of the way.

Therapy work can also involve working on your life purpose(s) and this can entail exploring and working towards your goals to get you started on your blue-print path. Some clients also choose to come to therapy to expand on their personal development and may wish to explore certain aspects of their lives, such as a lack of purpose or direction, a spiritual crisis and/or deepening of their existential understanding.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I am currently studying towards my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DPsych). I am also a qualified art psychotherapist (MA).
As a therapist and counselling psychologist in-training, I work integratively, meaning there is no one way of working with an individual. I believe every individual is unique and works and heals differently and perfectly for them, hence not choosing only one theoretical approach. Different psychological approaches can include existential, psychodynamic, person-centred, mindfulness, compassion focused, and humanistic approaches.

My special interests and experiences include working with adults short and long-term, and working with the mentioned tags under Specialisms, which includes, but not limited to:

- Anxiety
- Low moods
- Depression
- Low Confidence/Self-worth
- Relationship Issues
- Work-related issues
- Emotional and Psychological Trauma
- Sexual Abuse
- Childhood Trauma
- Narcissistic Abuse
- BAME related issues
- Identity issues
- Bereavement - Loved ones including our beloved pets/animals.
- Spiritual issues
- Peri-menopause/Menopausal Issues

If you resonate so far, see how you feel during your first session - it is important to see and feel if you think we "fit" - and there is no obligation to commit yourself in the beginning. If you feel this space is right for you, we can continue to work together and make sense of what is happening in your life, and take the necessary steps to be able to move forward into a more balanced, empowered, confident, happier, and fulfilled life.
